CTF 75 to Hold Change of Command Ceremony

NAVAL BASE GUAM– Capt. John “Jake” W. Keefe relieved Capt. Erich C. Frandrup as commander of Task Force 75 (CTF 75) during a change of command ceremony at Naval Base Guam, July 10. Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet Vice Adm. Patrick Hannifin, who presided over the ceremony, served as the guest speaker. Frandrup commanded CTF 75 from July 2024 to July 2026. Under his leadership, the task force participated in 126 operations and activities across 21 countries, including Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, and Australia. “Working alongside the CTF 75 team, to include the staff and the task groups, has been exceptional,” said Frandrup. “The professionalism, innovation, and mastery of uniquely specialized skillsets, from EOD and expeditionary security, to expeditionary MCM and our naval construction force, have made our fleet more ready. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and even more proud to have served alongside them.” Keefe most recently served as the military deputy at the Office of Strategic Capital in Washington, D.C. His previous commands include Task Group 75.1 and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit FIVE, where his crew earned the Battle Efficiency Award. “I am honored and privileged to return to the Pacific to serve alongside the Navy Expeditionary Force,” said Keefe. “Together, we will continue to deliver critical capabilities in support of 7th Fleet operations and strengthen our partnerships throughout this vital region.” CTF 75 is the primary expeditionary task force of Navy Expeditionary Forces Command Pacific, responsible for the command and control of expeditionary forces in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. These forces include Naval Construction, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, and Maritime Expeditionary Security, which execute missions ranging from crisis response and humanitarian assistance to major combat operations.
